1. This observation made me curious...to what extent does age correlate with the degree to which one is excited about Bernie?
2. The available data suggests that in 2016 Bernie was disproportionately favored by the younger set. Much of this has to do with ideology I'm sure...younger voters are more progressive than older ones. But... 
3. I think a good number of the over 50 set (myself included) are lukewarm on Bernie in part because we experientially understand how hard it is to live in an aging body. For many of us, our reservations have little or nothing to do with ideology.
4. I totally get why younger folks don't see Bernie's age as a big deal. I remember vacationing with my parents when they were in their late 50s & being annoyed that they wanted to take so many breaks & didn't want to eat at 10pm, and drink all the things, etc. I didn't get it.
5. But now I do get it, now that I'm an oldster. And the almost unanimous opinion of my FB orbit (comprised mostly of other oldsters) is yeah, age matters. Many (if not most) of those folks really like what Bernie stands for...but there's a reason why the retirement age is 67.
6. I understand if you don't believe me. I might be wrong, don't take my (and my friends') word for it. Find someone in their mid-late 70s who you trust and ask them if they think they could handle the job of being President.
