Word of advice for comedians: If you have a bad set don’t make stuff up on Twitter because people who came to the show will show up and call you out
I have fled the colonies but Bernie Bros have tracked me to London and are heckling my shows where I talk for an hour about Drumpf and don’t make any jokes. Truly no level of misogyny they will not stoop to.

“Men don’t get to have an opinion on abortion” is such an insidious trope because it trains men to suppress the urge to protect the weak from harm, which is the least toxic form of masculinity.
There’s a direct connection between this and the Catholic sex abuse coverups. Too many priests think of themselves as fun uncles instead of fathers whose job it is to protect their children.
Joseph literally left everything he had and fled to Egypt to protect his baby. You think this man would look the other way when it comes to crimes against children?

One interesting part of my wife’s job is designing Catholic churches and buildings to decrease opportunities for sexual abuse. Where you put bathrooms, access control, reducing hidden areas, natural surveillance, etc. This is a huge part of the reform that no one talks about.
To use two examples, a student who needs to use the bathroom should not have to walk through a common area that can be accessed by people who aren’t vetted, and priest offices should have large windows visible to people passing by. Plus a million other considerations.
The tricky part is that the types of environmental modifications that make abuse less likely can also make it more vulnerable to school shooters. Horrible we have to think about this stuff but I’m glad it’s being done. Also please tell the diocese to give my wife a raise.

Any billionaire running for office would be better off handing out cash on the street. The 2016 election cost $2.4 billion, which if donated to the best charities like @Give_Directly or @AgainstMalaria would have saved 1.2 million lives.
This is based on the gold standard for charities which is $2,000 per life. Of course, it’s also great to spend money on the common good that doesn’t save a life but that’s not what political campaigns are.
The solution, of course, is to abolish elections, reinstitute the monarchy, and make billionaires give the Royal Family the money they spend on campaigns. But we all know the Freemason moon-fakers won’t allow that to happen.

We learned in the last thread ( close passes aren’t funny. Now we’re going to explore what happens if you have filmed, and try and find some redress. First things first.
In this case, the local force was Devon & Cornwall. Not unreasonable therefore to tweet them and ask if we can send them our footage. This is the point where you discover that lots of policemen do what would get most of us sacked - using their employed status to tweet personally.
So off you go to deal with that, knowing that if you’d tweeted the clip, it’d already be round the world. This process is designed to be as attritional as possible. Let’s be clear about this - the first thing we did, the day after the incident, was offer to upload the footage.

Taking money in this movement can hurt a person's credibility because people will start to view them as a business. Reaching out can then be viewed as marketing. Shares, likes, hits and views are then looked at as gains.

A person making money off the movement does not turn them into a bad person. Disinformation does. If they are spreading the truth, thats all that matters. There are a lot of Patriots that want to support the work of Patriots they look up too

The insistence by white male writers that there is a two-white-man race out there between Bernie & Beto is so deeply, stunningly misogynist, it takes my breath away.

How is it POSSIBLE that these folks missed the blue wave which was fundamentally female--driven by women voters?
Not just driven by women voters, but driven by women candidates. Left-leaning women candidates, including WOC who ousted long-time older white male incumbents like....Bernie Sanders.

How is anyone missing this fact?
It's a major reason why Sanders' numbers have plummeted.

Question for @jack based on testimony: Where else does the Quality Filter/behavioral tools limit the exposure of tweets from accounts deemed low quality? How long does the rating last? Do tweets from accounts deemed low quality fail to show up in the timelines of their followers?
Given the liberal bias among #Twitter employees & many of those external entities involved, who can accurately judge whether particular news outlets are fairly described, rated and treated? Does Twitter have people in their feedback loops who can point out the confirmation bias?
Quality Filter previously used (“who follows you”, “who you follow” and “who you retweet”) as behavioral signals. Is this still the case? How is Twitter dealing with the “guilt by association” aspect of this?
