the extended Hot Drinks reference in joking victim feels so specifically catered to me. like i have done the math trying to figure out if this ep would have been in production while i was trying to make Hot Drinks the next big meme. did i succeed.

the sequencing of monster buddies > an indirect kiss > mirror gem/ocean gem is really smart in a way i never thought about before. it's just a really good run of establishing lore
