President Emmerson Mnangagwa today announced a 24-member advisory council from areas in finance, infrastructure, industry, health, ICT, the church, civil society and others.

Brief thread on some of the less known members of the new council:
Representing religious leaders on Mnangagwa’s new council is Kenneth Mtata (@kennethmtata), general secretary of the Zimbabwe Council of Churches
Natalie Jabangwe, head of EcoCash, is the ICT advisor on Mnangagwa’s advisory council
Simon Hammond, Managing Director of CABS, is part of the President’s advisory council
Advising Mnangagwa on governance on the council will be @AeneasChumaILO, currently UN Humanitarian Resident Coordinator for Ethiopia and former ILO Regional Director for Africa
Advising on agriculture on ED’s panel will be Lindiwe Majele Sibanda (@lmsibanda), VP of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (@AGRAAlliance)
Lewis Musasike, CEO of private equity fund Africa Next Investments and former executive at DBSA and African Development Bank, sits on ED’s council. A few years ago, he was reported to be part of a consortium that placed a bid for a stake in Rio Tinto’s Zim assets
Janah Ncube (@JanahNcube), women’s rights activist and opposition campaigner, is also part of the Presidential advisory council. She has previously worked for Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition, Women in Parliament Support Unit, and is former Pan Africa Director for Oxfam
