As the ICO announces audit over concerns that the Brexit campaign is tainted by data abuse, remember when Brittany Kaiser revealed Cambridge Analytica’s proposal to break UK data protection law? ico.org.uk/about-the-ico/…
Reportedly the ICO received the passwords to seized CA/SCL servers recently. May help explain why “final” report seemed to exonerate LeaveEU. Evidence was not “found” then because they didn’t have all the passwords at that time. News of fines/audits today means they found stuff?
With news of ICO fines and audits, and now that we know ICO finally has CA/SCL passwords to seized servers, we can revisit Brittany Kaiser’s evidence given to @CommonsCMS —all relevant to #TheGreatHack at #Sundance parliament.uk/documents/comm…

Howard Schultz promo for CNN Town Hall: “I’m not going to be a spoiler and I’m not going to do anything to re-elect Donald Trump.” Not that different than Trump, he’ll shamelessly lie to voters to tell folks what they want to hear. It’s all just sales to them.
How does an Independent get to 270 electoral college votes? Why does this person get a CNN Town Hall? Is anyone going to ask him this & then laugh him off the stage when he cannot carve a path to victory requiring some 65 million Americans to not vote for their registered party?
If you’re a consultant hired by a foolish billionaire dumping his disposable income into a dangerous fruitless Independent run you don’t explain exactly why he is delusional and the whole thing should be called off so your lucrative consultant gig can be terminated prematurely.

Watched the deeply probing #facebookat15 by @LaurieSegall but noticed that the Cambridge Analytica topic zips by without exploring that firm’s kompromat, voter suppression tactics, and UK lawbreaking in favor of the usual psychographics red herring.
We’ve known since Dec 2017 that Cambridge Analytica’s docs were sought by Mueller. Guilty-pleading Sam Patten worked for Cambridge Analytica prior to working with Manafort and Kilimnik. Flynn had a gig. Nix lied to House Intel Committee. ProjectAlamo? Not covered in #facebookat15
Senator Mark Warner’s interview references “a political consultancy with close ties to Russia” but it’s pretty ambiguous to me in the edit if he’s referring to the Internet Research Agency or Cambridge Analytica. #facebookat15

UCC had opportunity to comment on the #Data.Protection & Privacy Bill. The enactment of this law is long overdue. A comprehensive law on the collection & processing personal information gives effect to the right to Privacy envisaged under Article 27(2) of the Constitution
UCC welcome the protections offered by the Bill in terms of export of data, breach notification requirements, data subjects access rights, automated decision making, compensation and the right to be forgotten and provision for financial and penal sanctions for breach of the law.
Distinction between Data collectors & data controllers.
The Bill should however clarify & distinguish Data Collectors, from Data Processors & Data Controllers. Clause 2 is inconsistent with international good practice which provides for two broad categories of Data Controllers
