It sounds from your description @QueenArlene5 as though EVMS may be well suited to have this conversation. This happened 35 years ago so they may already done this and made changes resulting in the school you experienced. It would be good to hear abt this journey from EVMS.

This is excellent. I frequently see journalists do this: “I’m gonna stop you there. Do you think he’s/she’s racist?” You’re supposed to back up. Trump was sued by the DOJ for housing discrimination in 1973. His company put a “C” for “Colored” on the housing apps of Black ppl.

He was never made to answer any serious inquiry about this during his campaign. This was before tha racist immigration rhetoric, the attack on the impartiality of a Mexican-American judge that even Paul Ryan called classic racism. Before “s***hole countries.”

Let’s be very clear, “taking a knee” is a protest against police killing of unarmed African Americans. Nothing in the recently passed #FirstStepAct says a word abt this. In fact the Trump Admin. decided that DOJ will no longer investigate unconstitutional policing practices.
Trump did not “take care if that.” Instead he celebrated rough treatment by police (“don’t be too nice”), allowed his DOJ to abandon investigations of systemic police brutality and misconduct, and pardoned a law enforcement ofcr (Sheriff Arpaio)engaged in racist, illegal conduct.
His AG even tried to scuttle a consemt decree entered into by the State of IL & the Chicago PD after that PD was sued by the state for unconstitutional policing. Just last week, a federal judge approved the consent decree (and ignored the Trump Admin’s attempted interference).

Sad, but important to say things like, “the President has to read the briefing book.” First G.W. Bush, now Trump. The idea that the “briefing” book is too much, drives me crazy. It’s not even the whole report. It’s a briefing, for heaven’s sake. Read & study it. #HarrisTownHall
President Obama reportedly read in detail, wrote questions & observations in the margins, asked for addl info. Like an intelligent person who takes seriously making decisions that will impact millions of ppl. “Bush didn’t like to read the book.” “Trump likes pictures.” Come. On.
This should be a debate question for every presidential candidate: “if you are elected will you commit right now to read and study the briefing books on policy, law & other critical subject matter provided by your advisors.” The bar is that low.

I was waiting to buy a game off steam and now that it was on sale I was halfway to hitting the buy button when I saw those dreaded words:
It's already on Steam! Steam is a great DRM system, as far as DRM systems go: it's minimally invasive and doesn't take away that many freedoms from the user
but the WHOLE ENTIRE POINT with buying this game was to do some minimal hacking of it so I could shove it in the generator, and now I can't because SOMEONE is terrified of HAX
