Trump spent three days in Moscow with Howard Lorber. During the trip, he visited Ducat Place, a site being developed by Liggett-Ducat, a company owned by Lorber’s Vector Group. Trump and Lorber were discussing plans to build a luxury tower in Moscow.

Back to the 1997 meetup. A call came in from Lebed to Trump requesting a meeting. Trump was more than happy to comply.

When Lebed seemed not to know much about Lorber, Trump commented
"With all that investment, they don't know you. Trump they know."
