Historians often talk about how Trump is making a move on James Buchanan and Andrew Johnson for the title of Worst President, but we should note that he's also challenging Calvin Coolidge's claim on the title of Laziest President.
According to a White House usher who'd served presidents for forty-two years, Coolidge worked fewer hours and assumed fewer tasks than anyone else. On even his busiest days, he worked less then four hours, and was still often found asleep with his feet propped up on his desk.
When the comic Will Rogers asked Coolidge how he kept fit in a job that had seriously broken the health of Woodrow Wilson and killed Warren G. Harding, Coolidge replied in all seriousness, "By avoiding the big problems."
As one observer noted, "Calvin Coolidge aspired to become the *least* President the country had ever had. He attained his desire."

Cal's held the title for nearly a century, but there might be a legit challenger now. Exciting!
