I sorta don't think Larry Fink is a good adviser for "Middle Class Joe," or any candidate seeking to reclaim working class voters of any race or religion. But he might help you figure out a way to privatize Fannie & Freddie....

People are under-reacting to the news of the unilateral installation of Trump cronies to run the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York US Attorney's offices.
At 120 days this vacancy gets kicked to local district court, which can choose to keep or replace the person (see (d): law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/28… ).

That "only 120 days" allows Sessions' loayalists complete visibility into a swathe of *sensitive* law enforcement investigations.
That means:

* Felix Sater - EDNY
* Kushner - EDNY
* Zarrab/Atilla/Erdogan - SDNY
* Kushner - SDNY
* Trump Org - SDNY
* Various Russian oligarchs - SDNY
* Manafort - EDNY

But, they like @KamalaHarris, @SenGillibrand, @CoryBooker and @JoeBiden.

The 2020 nominee can represent Wall Street or working class people. Time to pick a side.
Our 2020 nominee should inspire fear and loathing in the powerful and reprehensible plutocrats who govern our society. She should welcome their hatred.

If Harris and Gillibrand intend to speak for all Democrats, they need to do more to scare Wall Street.
Journalists should ask Harris, Gillibrand, Booker and Biden: do you want Wall Street's support? Do you think they should be part of the Democratic Party? Do you want them to be your friends and allies?

Any candidate who answers "yes" should be disqualified in my opinion.

1. Ok, a quick thread on what I think was a very significant ideological fight that happened last week. The dispute was over something known as #PayGo and while it appeared to concern boring government budgeting questions, it is actually about the nature of money and democracy.
2. Money is a very weird thing. It is at heart a commodity that a group agrees is a medium of exchange. What gives money value is both a collective belief it does, and an enforcement trigger, ie taxing authority. Dollars have value bc the U.S. gov't collects taxes in dollars.
3. The value of money is essentially the amount of money in circulation versus how much stuff the economy produces. If you have a bigger economy you need more money to match that increased trade. Money is permission to use resources, the more resources the more money you need.

2. As a result of his tweet, I hope that something that has not gotten enough attention finally will: Mitch McConnell’s standing idly by while America was attacked.
3. In September of that year, Obama had the clearest picture of what Russian operatives connected to Vladimir Putin were up to, but he did not want to come out with the information on his own, for fear of appearing to use classified intelligence to sway voters against Trump.
