1) OGRA determined cost of gas for Sui companies is Rs 475 per unit (btu). The new selling price allowed by tabdeeli sarkar to Sui gas companies is Rs 980 for commercial, CNG and cement plants; Rs 629 to IPPs; Rs 780 to industry; and, Rs 185 for fertiliser feed gas. 
2) For residential users there are 7 brackets with the highest 2 brackets having rates of Rs 1460 (almost double the rates for industry) and the 4th bracket has rate of Rs 780, (the rate for commercial users)! If you consume 100 units your bill will be Rs 12,700 plus tax.
3) But if you consume 101 units (and are living a life of luxury!) your bill will be Rs 26,664 (plus sales tax of Rs 4533). Now how is it fair for consumers to pay more than double or triple the cost of gas to Sui companies? Shouldn’t companies be asked to curb their expenses?
4) Remember also that billing is based on the energy supplied to you. But your meter only reads gas flow. When the bill is sent to you the companies get to decide the energy level, the pressure and temperature of the gas. All of these variables alter the bill you get.
5) If the companies have high UFG (unaccounted for gas) and want to show improved performance they can vary some variables and make your bills inflated. Previous “incompetent” govt knew how to keep the companies in check. Does the tabdeeli sarkar knows how to govern? //
