I still remember the names of folks who never responded to my well-crafted inquiry emails. Sometimes I meet them when I give invited talks at their universities. Sometimes I handle their manuscripts or review their grants.
Finally, I don’t care where you went to undergrad. If you want to work with me, please reach out. I can’t take everyone, but I’ll at least suggest others who might be a good fit. And if I don’t reply in two weeks, please follow up—not all of us are ghosting you, I promise.
