If you’re a political commentator and find yourself offended, confused and/or agitated by the political theater of the SOTU, it might be time to find another job
Like, omg all this clapping and chanting and stuff. Soooo uncivilized.

At the same time totally missing the entire point that the average observer understands: Dems scowling and sitting at American success stories.

Hope that helps the “ew that was so icky” crowd.
I know I say this over and over but there are lots of folks, particularly in so-called “conservative” media, who have no business opining about politics. No instincts, no grasp of what’s at stake and no understanding of what matters to most people.

The storyline about the Trump Tower meeting is falling apart. It wasn’t “collusion,” but rather a lobbying effort by Russian operatives working with Glenn Simpson to overturn a U.S. law that Putin opposes, and aide a Russian company in trouble here: amgreatness.com/2019/02/05/tru…
The mysterious phone calls around the time of the meeting weren’t between father and son.

And one of the attendees, a Russian-American lobbyist and pal of Glenn Simpson, is under investigation for taking payments from unknown sources in 2016:

It was either a preemptive lobbying effort in the off chance Trump won or a carefully-crafted event to seed the Trump-Russia collusion fable early on.

The problem with so-called conservatives attacking Covington students isn’t just that they jumped to conclusions or were suckered by a social media hoax.

The unforgivable part is that they attacked the very families they purport to represent 1/ amgreatness.com/2019/01/21/cal…
They smeared and defamed CONSERVATIVE kids. Religious teens who attend a Catholic school and took a bus from Kentucky to Washington to support a cause “conservatives” claim to hold most dear. But now they’ve been mocked, their values questioned, their lives threatened. 2/
And what, you think by deleting horrible tweets or removing a despicable article that called the kids evil and sadistic, or offering a mealy-mouth, insincere “apology” reverses the damage you helped create? It doesn’t. And where are out “call-out conservative?” Ya know...3/

Heard Roger Stone called his treatment by law enforcement “unconscionable.” So I thought I’d start a non-definitive list of actual unconscionable things. Starting with:

Eric Garner’s strangulation by law enforcement for selling loose cigarettes. His killer is still on the force.
“Unconscionable.”

Stephon Clarke was shot 20 TIMES by police in his grandmother’s backyard while holding a cell phone. He was 22-years-old.
“Unconscionable” is a young mother who was falsely arrested for smoking marijuana (she wasn’t), charged with endangering the welfare of her own child, & then separated from her for a full year. Missed her first words. Her first steps. nytimes.com/2017/07/21/nyr…

#Khashoggi Case Thread: I am going to ‘pin’ this post to use it as an ‘Info Thread’ on the #Khashoggi Case. I am in #Turkey. I’ve been following the case closely and with access to sources & experts here. This is a very ‘sensitive’ criminal case due to ‘Diplomatic Booby Traps’!!!
The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

Another thing about Machen's letter to his mother that is being overlooked is that he told his mother that if the student in question stays in the dorms he would leave and find another job. He also said that he was having active conversations with Warfield about the issue.
The reality is that Princeton remained integrated and Machen didn't leave until he was fired 19 years later in 1929... over the modernist controversy. He then went on to found an integrated seminary and then an integrated denomination 9 years after that in 1938.
It's far more remarkable that Machen shirked his tendency towards segregation and went on to found conservative integrated theological institutions in the 1920's-30's. For a man raised in the south during the late 1800's THAT should be the headline.

There are two groups within the Democratic base.

1) Hardcore Leftists. The people who understand what the REAL goals are and how disinformation/lying are necessary to achieve them

2) People taught they must vote D because only D's really sincerely look out for their interests
There simply AREN'T enough people in group 1 for Democrats to win national elections. They NEED that larger group in the base, group 2, to vote Dem to have a chance to win.

To keep that 2nd group voting Dem, group #1 incessantly LIES to them about their Progressive policies.
"America will DIE if we don't get ever more gov't control of the private sector, higher taxes, more constraints on energy development, we MUST have these things!"

Both Progressive polices and their results are incessantly lied about. It gets exhausting but must be done.
