The House intelligence committee voted to send 50 transcripts to special counsel Robert Mueller, an open invitation for him to scrutinize the testimony of witnesses including Trump's son and son-in-law. usatoday.com/story/news/pol…
The intelligence panel also plans to deepen its own investigation of Russian election interference. @RepAdamSchiff says they'll focus on Moscow's ties to Trump's campaign, business and administration; and whether the Kremlin has "leverage" over the president.
All this scarcely half a day after Trump cajoled lawmakers to not investigate him so much, because "if there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation."

To be fair, the argument that President Trump doesn't know what he's talking about is one his administration has made repeatedly (and successfully) in federal court.

We're on the opposite side of one of those cases, so I suppose we're constrained to say that we disagree.
(It seems to me to be an unusual state of affairs when @usatoday is the one trying to persuade a court that the president should be presumed to know what he's talking about, and the Justice Department is saying he doesn't.)

But the 8th Cir. has held that an apology can be a thing of value under the statute if the person demanding it wants it badly enough.
That was a case in which a guy created fake social media accounts portraying a woman who'd spurned him as a prostitute and exotic dancer. He said this was protected speech. The court said it was stalking. media.ca8.uscourts.gov/opndir/17/08/1…

1. Note the date: the confidential files with evidence were leaked in October 2018.
