Seek not the reactive paths of happiness and pleasure

Arrive at the understanding that you will soon have to leave behind all that you own, and all those you know
Attempt to clearly see that attachment is the root of all human suffering

Make your way toward the understanding that it is suicidal to rely upon anyone, need from anyone, and hope for things to go your way
Sincerely allow yourself to see that it is life, not death, that you truly fear
