Already a number of questions along the lines of "really?" Yes. Turkey has a Customs Union with some single market alignment, so it isn't too much of a stretch from that, without freedom of movement, and a bit of customs union enhancement
Problem for the PM is that her deal is de facto the same as Labour but without any formal say in the hope a future backstop solution turns up.
To be even clearer - from what I have heard I do not think the Labour proposal will come as any surprise to those in the Commission working on Brexit.
And the PM's nightmare now - quite possible - is that she will have to choose between no-deal and a permanent customs union. And she cannot...
