Learned today that ninja swords were straight, Samurai curved, because ninja fight in confined space so stab not cut.
This golden armour belonged to the man who united Japan & first moved the capital to Edo (now known as Tokyo).
Samurai liked dragonflies because they only fly forward, never retreat.
Farmer footsoldier armour. About 80% of Japanese were this. Samurai just the top 7% noble families.
The top decoration is the family crest. It would be removed for the battle itself rather like European Knight tournament crests.
