Propane Jane: There's a lack of transparency of how much things actually cost in the medical world. Even Cadillac plans can be exhausted by complicated surgery or lengthy illness and there's no social safety net to fall back on.

Propane Jane: Any change in healthcare. no matter what it's called, there's a basic unwillingness to accept that our healthcare system ranks 37th in the world. We're doing it as badly as we possibly can.

Propane Jane: KY, a red state, has one of the best examples in the country of making the law fit their state. They brought in the people who were uninsured, but once it was working, they pulled the rug out from under them. Votes matter.

Rick: Why would Utah vote to take away Medicaid expansion? Voters wanted to expand Medicaid coverage but GOP is taking it away.

Propane Jane: Some people are just happy to have people in the legislature with an "R" behind their name. They want a right-to-life candidate (R) because they think Democrats are "baby killers."

Propane Jane: When I look at candidates, things like border camps, police brutality, oppression are important to me. The candidates have to go as good a job as they can at piecing that msg together, no matter where they are in the country.

Jane: People do research for online purchases but not for candidates' policy positions to see if they align w/ theirs.
