There was a time when I concluded that things would never change; that I’d always be poor, relegated, defeated.
This conclusion seemed final, and because I was not going to live with it, I was just waiting until the right time to quietly and comfortably end it all.

It wasn’t even a depressive thought, but just a calm rational acceptance that this was the verdict on things as they related to my life and reality.
My logic was clear, it seemed, and my mind was set.

I carried on normally, and did the things I was supposed to do. But I had this silent smile, almost as if I was out of my own body, looking down on the rest of the world, seeing them hustling like rats and just smirking and going through the motions.

I made people laugh, I served, I worked, I ate, I slept, I went to parties, even to church, but I had given it all up.

But here we are, over a decade later.

Friends, there is something higher than logic. “There’s a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the Almighty, gives it understanding.”

Wisdom is not generated. It’s received. It comes from an internal visitation. It descends into your spirit and then percolates into your conscious intellect, giving you a higher logic, one not constructed on the bricks of empirical facts, one rooted in the MASTERMIND of God.

That little light, shinning in the dark spaces of your heart, then begins to infiltrate your mind until a new day begins to dawn and hope, like a new fetus begins to form inside.

This is what WISDOM can do, if we let it. When a person gets wisdom, they would be like one who has just risen from the dead.
