I have no reason to believe Ivanka Trump would want to leave her post in DC as a senior adviser to the president, but top aides have discussed the possibility of nominating Ivanka if no frontrunner emerges for UN ambassador, whose HQ is in NYC.

SCOOP: FEMA chief Brock Long is planning to leave the agency, sources say. Could be announced as soon as today.
Brock Long was criticized over his use of govt vehicles for personal travel and his agency’s response to a storm that devastated Puerto Rico, but he's leaving on his own accord, sources tell me and @cflav.

He's burned out after commuting home to NC, where wife and kids live.
BREAKING: FEMA issues statement from Brock Long:

“While this has been the opportunity of the lifetime, it is time for me to go home to my family – my beautiful wife and two incredible boys. ... Upon my departure, Mr. Peter Gaynor, will serve as Acting FEMA administrator."

Colombian President Ivan Duque has arrived at the White House to talk to Trump about regional security. Trump made no comments to the press as he and Duque posed for photos then entered the building.
Trump, in Oval Office, says much of his talk today with Ivan Duque will be about Venezuela.

"It’s in turmoil,” he says. "People are being treated very badly.”

"I don’t like seeing it. I’m not happy about it.”
“I want to visit Colombia," Trump says in Oval Office with Ivan Duque.

Scoop: Trump is meeting today with nuclear power industry representatives who are seeking to build more atomic power plants worldwide, sources tell @jendlouhyhc, @AriNatter and me.
Trump’s meeting this afternoon with NuScale Power, Westinghouse, General Electric etc.

Push is for govt approval of next-generation reactors—and sell them to world.

Also on table: Agreements to share US nuclear tech with Mid East nations, including Saudi Arabia—post-Khashoggi.
