1. After Trump leaked the #Mossad 's treasure to the Russians in the Oval Office, I did a dive into an area that I had never explored: Who owns the treasure? Often referred to it as the "equities." Who can declassify it? On the Oval Office episode, I think Trump broke the law.
2. POTUS can declassify US treasure. But my reading of the regs and international agreements says, #POTUS can't give up a partner's treasure without following the procedures defined by the US regs. But that's for another time.
3. What about McCabe's #60Minutes disclosures? Was any of that classified? The existence of a counter-intelligence investigation was first disclosed by @FBI Dir Comey on March 20, 2017. We now know that Carter Page had an open FISA order in October 2016.
4. Here is May 16, 2018, NyTimes story:
Code Name Crossfire Hurricane: The Secret Origins of the Trump Investigation nyti.ms/2GpbIgM

The article appears to say that the C.I. investigation opened on July 31, 2016. Two months after I reported it was inevitable.
5. So by March 2017, appears we were dealing with SCI FISA generated treasure. And somebody let Comey talk about it in public? Who?
Well, who owned the equities? Remember who was sitting next to Comey when he disclosed it in Devin Nunes' hearing?
6. @NSAGov Director Admiral Mike Rogers. My understanding is, equities in classified material are generally controlled by the party who applied the initial classification. The Trump-Russia C.I. investigation, that I first predicted would be commenced back in May 2016, was likely
7. triggered by FISA702 intercepts. So who let Comey say it in the hearing? Who declassified a SCI code-worded op to make the fact of it public? Rogers likely signed off but I think that decision was above his pay grade. IMO It may have to have been Sec. Def. Mattis.
8. Andy McCabe's 60Minutes interview also disclosed facts that had not been fully known. They reported that his book and presumably his interview were cleared by the OSC. Who had the power to declassify that? Who owned those equities? Mueller? Wray? Whitaker? Rosenstein?
9. Are CrossfireHurricane compartments still active? If they are, and what went on in the FBI that McCabe reported was under that code-word, I think the NSA is still driving the bus and so @DepSecDef may have had to authorize it.
10. The kicker is, if the material went to the grand jury, then I would doubt McCabe and/or Mueller could disclose it because of USCourts grand jury secrecy unless the grand jury has already returned indictment[s] thus terminating their Rule 6(e) obligations. See you Tuesday? 😎
11. UPDATE: Starting to look like Dan Coates is a good candidate for person who declassified the McCabe Gang of Eight meeting. @FBIWFO
