1/ Dutch discounts in 2017 are impressive for sure! Here's a follow-up.

Yesterday morning, I took a quick stab at summarizing $TSLA’s geographical revenues. Unfortunately, I neglected to parse out NL sales from the rest of the world in Q1+Q2.
2/ But fortunately, @AlexT caught the error and I hastily fixed the numbers based on registration data. It made the results look much more normal. But once again, Alex pointed out that data in the Q3 10-Q could provide even more accurate numbers. So I went back for another look.
3/ It turns out that by combining NL revenue data supplied in the Q3 10-Q and the Q4 10-K, you can paint a good picture of quarterly revenue for the past 2 years. In a nutshell, we have Q3 revenues, Q3 YTD revenues, and full year revenues for 2017 and 2018.
4/ From that, we can deduce the Q1+Q2 revenues for both years. The results? As my friend Joe Bowen would say, “Holy Mackinaw!”

In a nutshell, NL revenues have no correlation to registrations. It’s as disconnected as China. Here are the graphical results, compared to Norway.
5/ First, here are the registration numbers by quarter. These are very accurate, available on public record.
6/ This is Tesla’s reported revenue for the two countries. Again, it's as accurate as Tesla's earnings reports.
7/ Combining the two, this is the revenue per registered car.
8/8 So what’s going on in the Netherlands? $150,000/car down to $60,000/car???? It can’t be vastly fluctuating sales; look at the first graph. It can’t be European pricing; look at Norway. Fleet sales? Channel stuffing? Any ideas are welcome.
Looks like I tagged the wrong @AlexT18503601 in the thread. Apologies.
