1/ We did our first conference @cbinsights called The Future of Fintech in 2016

It had 300 people and some killer speakers including @fredwilson @gradypb among others

Pat made this comment at the time, and it was def one of the highlights

2/ In 2019, we'll be doing 4 conferences

The Future of Fintech is back for its 4th year. 1400 people, 3 stages, all the unicorn fintech co CEOs, the best VCs in fintech and some public co CEOs as well

3/ We are also doing our first ever Future of Insurance event on June 11th in NYC

2 public company CEOs and several unicorn insuretech CEOs

4/ Today, we announced The Future of Health (Oct 2-3 in NYC)

600 people, 2 stages, an exhibition hall for startups, etc

5/ And in December, we'll be doing the last conference of the year for execs leading digital transformation, corporate innovation, corporate VC or corporate M&A

This conference was fka known as Transform (long story)
6/ Very proud of our team who pulls these together

We haven't allowed pay-to-play sponsorships (leaving millions of $ on the table btw) as we've focused on high quality content, excellent networking opps for attendees and great venues (Central Park Zoo, Lincoln Center, Rock Ctr)
7/ We're now looking for a GM, Events who will

- own the P&L
- set the strategy
- flawlessly execute

This means quickly growing our events biz ($XX,000,000) and also using events to grow/retain clients of our SaaS platform

1/ We issued the @cbinsights 3rd annual AI 100 this year to highlight 100 artificial intelligence companies our data suggests are the most promising

2/ The AI100 has become kind of a big deal for startups and so we've gotten lots of inbound from companies and investors about why they're not included

1/ The @cbinsights crew is still closing deals as the year ain’t over

But it’s nice to be able to say we beat all our aggressive financial targets

And did so without lighting money on fire

3/ Given the choppiness of the public markets, we have decided to advance @CBinsights plans to IPO

We have also been in discussions with the Saudis should markets not be hospitable

Of course, if we see another couple 1000 point up days, we will reconsider

I received a beautiful message from my brother and friend @soodparivar regarding #InvisibleLabels!

A car ahead was moving like a turtle & not giving me way inspite of my continuous honking!I was on brink of losing my cool when I noticed the small sticker on the car’s rear!
“Physically challenged; Please be patient.”

And that changed everything!!

I immediately went calm & slowed down!!

In fact, I got a little protective of the car & the driver!!!

I reached home a few minutes late, but it was ok!

And then it struck me....
Would I have been #patient if there was no #sticker?

Why do we need stickers to be patient with #people?

Will we be more patient & kind with others if people had #labels pasted on their foreheads?

#Khashoggi Case Thread: I am going to ‘pin’ this post to use it as an ‘Info Thread’ on the #Khashoggi Case. I am in #Turkey. I’ve been following the case closely and with access to sources & experts here. This is a very ‘sensitive’ criminal case due to ‘Diplomatic Booby Traps’!!!
The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

Sgt. Jason Thomas was dropping his daughter off when he saw the towers collapse. He rushed to the scene going 120MPH, put on his retired Marine Corps uniform, and searched tirelessly through the rubble.

Thomas saved two police officers that day.

Rick Rescorla, a Vietnam vet, was ordered by Port Authority to keep his 2,700 Morgan Stanley employees/visitors to stay at their desks.

NYPD Officer Moira Smith was the first officer to rush into the towers and played a major role in the evacuation process.

She is credited with saving hundreds of lives that day before giving her own. She was survived by her husband and 2-year-old daughter.

I've observed before that Donald is most dangerous not when he's cornered or afraid but when he feels invincible. He does cruel things because he can, to prove that he can. When he believes he's above and beyond reprisal, he'll stick the knife in twice as far, kick twice as hard.
He fired Comey when he was feeling on top of the world, he was on a roll and he kept rolling. He hasn't fired Rosenstein or Mueller yet because he hasn't felt that kind of security about them yet.
