just out: @AEMO_Media's quarterly energy dynamics — my favourite report.

a few observations:

SA set new all-time minimum *grid* demand: 599MW @ 1pm on 21 oct — primarily driven by increasing rooftop solar. (check out that emerging duck curve!)

highest prices on record in each region (except TAS), on the back of lowest Q4 demand since 2012!

reasons:
• reduced gas generation availability
• high gas prices
• coal generation failures
• higher prices charged by hydro generators
black coal and gas set the price more often than gas and coal in every market compared with the previous quarter.

(few people understand that black coal *frequently* sets the energy price in SA, VIC and TAS, despite them having no *local* black coal generation.)

respected @unimelb researcher @dylanjmcconnell has this to add:

on 29 sep last year 100,022 spectators watched the eagles take the AFL premiership at the MCG.

you _could_ say, at that rate, more than 3 million people were “on track” to watch the eagles beat collingwood 30 times before 29 october.

“possible” but only with heroic assumptions.

These are the Men that women can be at ease around
Why do women like bad boys?

They lead themselves

Men that can create energy and momentum and outcomes are attractive

And they do not lose this by making themselves subservient to a woman
