The sick joke behind all this western outrage over "Russian oligarchs" is that Clinton White House literally created & celebrated Russia's oligarchy in the 1990s. Difference is Yeltsin oligarchs had real political power; today, they're billionaires without political control
A big reason why the US/UK turned against Putin was because he started jailing Russian oligarchs who challenged his power. By definition Russia's billionaires aren't really oligarchs anymore—and that violates our neoliberal order

Venezuelan posters express pride in their military armed at the border. There are Colombian mercenaries - from what we're understanding - called 'guarimberos' who are basically paid street gang members on the Colombian side. They are NOT "VZ protesters" as some MSM are reporting.

So before I begin this Venezuela thread I have to disclose I consider @KalebPrime a friend and it's difficult for me to see his country's situation deteriorate to this point.

We did a livestream together last year.
TL;DR is Dictator Nicolas Maduro held illegal presidential elections that were rigged from the get-go, and the aftermath of that made his inevitable victory be declared "illegal."

His replacement is Juan Guaido.
BUT ALSO Maduro still thinks he's in charge.

Thus, clusterfuck.
