Cohen "Every president has had a personal attorney" to deal with these types of matters. Who was Obama's personal attorney?
Cohen was not Trump's White House Counsel, he was his private attorney. So I'm not looking for Obama's White House Counsels but his personal attorneys. I'm doing a bit of digging. First find. Bob Bauer of Perkins Coie who became his personal attorney when Obama became a Senator
Bob Bauer later became Obama's White House counsel so he fits both categories. So he was Obama's private attorney from about Nov. 2005 until Nov 2009. Bauer left the White House in Summer 2011 & went back to Perkins Coie. washingtonpost.com/business/capit…
Well there is is, when he left the WHC, he resumed duties as Obama's personal lawyer & the lawyer for his 2012 campaign. Cohen sent us down a new rabbit hole!
Bob Bauer left his law firm in May 2018 (just like Greg Craig did a month earlier) with rumors he resigned after being interviewed by Mueller's special counsel. perkinscoie.com/en/news-insigh…
I never knew that Trump's first White House Counsel that handled the Mueller case, was the former Chairman of the FEC which investigates illegal political money & election influence! What a nice skill set to bring!
