If you're buying a PC my advice is to avoid @DigitalStormPC like the plague.

Worst experience I've had with a company
Aside from the fact I ordered on Jan 7th and still don't have the PC they have repeatedly blown me off and only shipped the PC after I said I was going to cancel
Now I'm finally able to go pick it up from the shipper at my own cost and they couldn't be bothered to simply call the carrier and release the shipment to me.
I ordered a custom laptop from @XoticPC and it was finished and delivered quickly, customer service explained everything when I called for updates

Digital Storm has repeatedly told me to wait and then blown me off
My friends helped me build my current PC and it took us about a day, I wanted a pro build however for a workstation as we expand and increase video quality.

I made a mistake choosing Digital Storm and will likely go with XOTIC in the future
Oh what perfect timing, several minutes after I made this tweet I got a phone call that they released the shipment.

Twitter banned hate speech but the platform rewards hate

It encourages people to make the most inflammatory hot take in order to rile up a base that will push their account to a new audience

People make fake posts, take quotes out of context, and generally lie to get rewarded
Followers then want to be a part of the group and join in on the brigading.

Covington is a great example of this phenomenon.

Facts don't matter, being in the herd matters.
The point is the mechanics of Twitter make this happen.

Over time the distributed human machine figures out what works and what doesn't based on the paths laid out by Twitter.

Early on Twitter was fun and valuable but then humans solved the game

Lets talk about student loans and why I think we should work out a forgiveness plan. I'll add a disclaimer that the solution will likely be complicated and not as simple as "just cancel it" but that we need to figure it out. /1
All my life I was told that school was an obligation. If I did NOT go to college I would be a failure or flipping burgers, as if you can't take pride in flipping burgers.

Well I didnt go but all my friends did, they were told my their elders and they believed it. /2
The problem was that our elders were wrong and many people felt that they had no choice but to take on debt

I definitely know people who were irresponsible with their loan money but these are young adults, practically kids, being told to take on masive debt "or else" /3

One of society's biggest problems is that too many people can't understand nuance.

Some people seeing me argue against censorship keep trying to associate me with free market conservatives even though I literally defend regulation in the podcast.
I've done whole rants about the need for regulating the markets and regulating companies.

Nothing about my politics is conservative.

Unfortunately the far left doesn't understand moderation, only extremism and revolution

Monday I made a decision I should have made in 2016: I will no longer engage people deliberately lying about anything, be it me, the election, the events of 2016, Trump.

Wilfull ignorance is not a good faith position.
I like to engage readers, but not on false premises.

Aside from the fact that concepts like constitutive power, legitimate sovereignty, representation, consent of the governed, 'ability', 'need', the people's 'will', etc lack ontological coherence, let alone normative prescriptive force, they're epistemic trash fires.
These concepts largely don't correspond to social facts, as they primarily exist on the level of shared representation & self-reflection, rather than behavior, agreement, indexical reference, action, etc.
Or to put it another way, it is a social fact that people many believe in many of the above, and, indeed, in some cases, even collectively act on them, but they do so largely lacking common analytic or referential agreement, and institutionally these are rarely enshrined.

I think it's so funny the moves made by my pd. It's clear as day, and the egregiousness, collusion, violating many rights, outburts in court, lies, gaslighting, and goading even, dude...I got all the emails. Video.
And what judge allows that? My fault somehow, right? Brady Rule, for my own stuff? MP clearly grandstander, put on an act, went way off kilter, lied, slammed papers, it was unhinged, down to misquoting case law.
Seriously, 1.5 yr old subpoenas too. And he allowed it all. This is a shitshow. The Brady Rule, you see that the key. I used it during an investigation that the PD not only knew about, took steps to collude with, knowingly acted against my best interests.

#Fact 1 - The Wage Gap is real. People who says it's not haven't read the data.

However, in places like the USA, the wage gap is *not* mostly due to sexism like many #femnist #WomenInScience are claiming it is today. Disparate outcomes doesn't imply disparate treatment.
Women typically choose fields that are lower paying; even in the #STEM fields. To attribute that to sexism only or even mostly is a very dishonest way of deriving an answer for this complex disparity.
