1. This is the wildest story I've ever written.

It involves Stony Rushing, who Mark Harris endorsed in the new Congressional election in North Carolina.

It's a little involved but I promise it's totally worth it.

2. Rushing filed a complaint on behalf of his tween daughter against Tracy Wesolek, who was active in GOP politics.

The complaint sought a NO-CONTACT ORDER FOR STALKING OR NON-CONSENSUAL SEXUAL CONDUCT

It referenced assault, molestation, and stalking.

3. But the complaint didn't disclose that Rushing had an affair with Wesolek and, prior to filing the complaint, professed his love for her

You don't have to take my word for it. Rushing himself was forced to admit it when he was deposed for the case.

4. In the deposition, Rushing offered no evidence that Wesolek stalked his daughter OR EVEN COMMUNICATED WITH HER AT ALL

Even so, he insisted on going to trial. So that's what happened.

5. Rushing represented himself, and called himself as the first witness. After admitting the affair and presenting no evidence (except for Facebook postsnot even written by Wesolek) the judge dismissed his case.

So why did Rushing file the suit?

6. Wesolek's attorney, John Snyder, told me that prior to the suit, news of the affair was circulating in political circles. Rushing filed the suit to try to paint Wesolek as a "psycho stalker" and provide himself with political cover popular.info/p/the-secret-l…
7. I talked with Rushing today and asked him what evidence he had that Wesolek had stalked his daughter. He said he wasn't supposed to discuss it as part of the judge's order.

This is false. The judge dismissed the case and issued no further orders.

1. Wow.

This could be a coincidence but one of Trump's tweets this morning appears to contain a coded message of support to white nationalists.

In defense of Jeanine Pirro, who said wearing a hijab was "antithetical" to the Constitution, Trump tweeted "be strong & prosper"
2. The 1683 Battle of Vienna is extremely significant to white nationalists. It's revered as a victory of Christians over the Ottoman Empire, which is viewed as a prelude to their current battle against Islam.

The New Zealand shooter even wrote "Vienna" on one of his weapons
3. There was a contemporaneous account of the Battle of Vienna.

The first line ends: "Be strong and prosper in thy way on behalf of the Christian faith."

Tucker Carlson was caught defending and justifying child rape, debasing women, and making racist comments.

His response is not to acknowledge any of it.

Instead he just laying the victim and pretends its an issue of "free speech."

Indictment against wealthy parents buying their kids into selective college is stunning. Some kids didn't know about their parents efforts. But Lori Loughlin's kids did. They pretended to row crew - even posed on ERG machines - to get into USC. They are both Instagram stars.
After receiving provisional admission based on pretended to row crew, Loughlin's daughter couldn't figure out how to fill out the actual application, so they had the fraudster fill one out for her.

The scope of laziness and entitlement here is something

New #PA Congressional map is pretty much the best one Democrats could have hoped for. At least 2 pickups in neutral environment, likely ability to win 11 in current D+6 environment. Post coming
PA redraw creates map that is almost entirely drawn from scratch. Huge shifts from 2016 plan all over the place. Dems favored to win 9 seats there in almost any national environment.
(big swings mostly from renumbering, but aggregate differences are clear)
