The mounting number of #NotAllHarvardMBAs to this post are cracking me up. They're very sensitive. insidehighered.com/blogs/just-vis…
Saying that you are a Harvard MBA and have achieved a work-life balance and you're not a soul-free, rapacious capitalist propping up authoritarian regimes is not a response to the argument in the post, and your personal "offense" is meaningless.
If the description doesn't apply to you, there's no need to be offended. I was president of my college fraternity, and we were mostly good guys, but I'm not offended when people say we should abolish the greek system because of its systemic problems. In fact, I agree with them.
In short, be less fragile, captains of American industry. Don't let Howard Schultz be your role model.
The Harvard Business School boosters are bad at the arguing.

Booster: If you get rid of HBS, you should also get rid of the MBA programs at Stanford, Duke and Northwestern.

Me: And the problem with that is....?
The way the HBS boosters argue is telling in that it's reflective of a life where they believe in their own authority, they should be listened to because of that credential. It makes them bad at arguing from evidence, as opposed to authority.
HBS booster: Venture capitalists provide funding for all those technological luxuries you enjoy!

Me: They bleed local newspapers dry. finance.yahoo.com/news/alden-glo…
I ask for a better argument. This is what I get in return 👇
