I’m glad we are all denouncing anti-Semitism. I have a few other instances I’d like to nominate for bipartisan condemnation...
In 2013, Donald Trump launched an anti-Semitic effort to essentially dox Jon Stewart as a Jew, which he seemed to viewed as an inherent flaw.

Trump taunted, “why did he change his name from Jonathan Leibowitz? He should be proud of his heritage!”

at @RJC in 2015, Trump literally told their Jewish membership: “You’re not going to support me because I don’t want your money. You want to control your politicians, that’s fine.”

Trump’s ‘America First’ slogan is borrowed from the leading WWII-era anti-Semitic group who urged the U.S. to appease Hitler & demanded we stay out of the war.

Trump has ignored pleas from the Anti-Defamation League & others to abandon the term.

In early 2016, Trump said he’d be “neutral” in Israeli-Palestinian talks, and when accused of not being pro-Israel, defended himself by saying: “I happen to have a son-in-law and a daughter that are Jewish, OK?”

In summer of 2016, Trump vigorously defended an overtly anti-Semitic tweet depicting the Star of David & $100 bills that labeled Hillary the most corrupt candidate ever.

Trump’s closing campaign ad in 2016 depicted George Soros, Lloyd Blankfein, and Janet Yellen (all Jewish) as it warned about those who “control the levers of power” & “global special interests” – blatant anti-Semitic dog whistles.

Trump repeatedly refused to disavow David Duke. he defended ‘both sides’ when neo-Nazis marched on Charlottesville.

he explicitly declined to condemn fans of his making anti-Semitic death threats against a Jewish reporter who wrote a piece he disliked.

anyways, I happen to be Jewish. I received anti-Semitic death threats in 2016. it concerns me when *any* leader traffics in anti-Semitism.

but I have no patience for Rs trying to tag the entire Dem Party as anti-Semitic, while lionizing a president who’s mainstreamed bigotry.
P.S. — here’s a small sampling of the lovely fan art tweeted at me in 2016.

this isn’t even bad compared to some of the things regularly directed at Jewish reporters.
