Florida's racist Jim Crow era felon disenfranchisement law blocked 1 in 10 from voting, incl 1 in 5 African Americans. Ballot initiative repealing it was huge victory for voting rights. Now instead of following will of voters, FL GOP suppressing votes motherjones.com/politics/2018/…

2. In fact, nobody was drunk. Neilia Biden pulled out in front of a tractor trailer, the crash was unavoidable. In a terribly tragic moment, Neilia and their daughter Naomi lost their lives. Their 2 sons Beau and Hunter were seriously injured but both made full recoveries.
3. Was it an accident? Did she not see the truck coming? Distracted? Could it have been something more sad or more sinister?

The truck driver was cleared of all wrong doing and was not charged. Biden had just won his Senate seat, not even sworn in yet.

Loading the bus for my annual three day paleontological field trip with the kids. Some rain forecasted. Wish me luck.

Back in time across #Texas ... almost 35 years doing this.

Heading out to the first stop, the Eocene on the Brazos River.
We survived the Eocene ... kids got lots of fossils. The bus is now heading back in time to the Cretaceous (120 million years ago). First a fossil oyster reef, then a pit with lots of echinoids. Dispite weather reports full of dread, we're in the sweet spot.
Collecting in the Eocene this morning at the famous Stone City bluff on the Brazos River. Lots of fossils and no mud.
