Impeachment is a process of investigation. It’s how Congress prosecutes crimes committed by a president. If Pelosi doesn’t want to undergo that process, she needs a better reason than “it divides the country” and “he isn’t worth it.” Because we’re already divided, and he sure is.
It is one thing to say “We plan to impeach Trump” or “we are considering impeachment,” and quite another to rule it out categorically by saying that “he’s just not worth it.” Whether he is worth it isn’t the point, especially if there is evidence of crimes. She can’t ignore that.
