Some per-fessional news: I’m going to work for @Medium as senior writer for its new tech & science publication, OneZero, starting in April. I’m seriously excited to join a team that’s building something fresh and rethinking what a tech mag can be in 2019.

This means I’ll be leaving Slate after 7.5 years. As a cub reporter at a tiny Iocal paper I dreamed of writing for Slate someday. That I really got to do it—and my colleagues turned out to be even smarter, kinder, and more fun than I imagined—is still surreal and amazing to me.
My deepest thanks to everyone at @Slate. I have 1.5 weeks left here, then start at OneZero in April. If Then (@ifthenpod) will live on after I leave, and do not be surprised if @aprilaser & co take it to new heights.
