I have spent 4+ decades on earth to discover that the biggest, most important and hardest job on earth is "Parenting". It is a job where you have to measure your success not by our much you get back but by how much you keep giving of what you know, what you have or what u desire.

The day I started appreciating my parents, was the day I became a parent. I realised how much they sacrificed for us. A sacrifice I had no idea of the value until I became like them. Likewise, my kids will likely not appreciate the value of my sacrifice until they become parents.

This is what makes parenting so intriguing. That you give and sacrifice self for kids who might jolly well not know the value until you've nothing else to give or even die. But you still do it. Why? Faith. You have faith that somewhere along the line all your efforts will pay off

And it doesn't matter whether you are alive or not when it pays, you are obligated to invest in a future that you know you might not be part of. That is strong faith.

To all parents doing all they can to invest in their children's future, I celebrate you today. You are my MVP.
