This resolution addresses a non-existent Constitutional question with a futile gesture. The executive has no power of the purse except the very limited power Congress delegated to it and can take away. This resolution leaves that power in place while pretending to do something.
If Congress has any shame and really cares about preserving its Constitutionally granted power of the purse, it should move immediately to dissolve CFPB -- an unconstitutional entity Congress created under Obama by willingly depriving itself of any power of the purse over it.
CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) is the brainchild of Elizabeth Warren, under direction from Barack Obama. Don't be fooled by its name. It doesn't protect consumers. It shakes down banks to create slush funds for liberal activists. Details here:
