Tonight I signed up our apartment and our HOA to get 100% solar power via @CleanPowerSF. Hope to get our own panels in next year but meantime this seems like a good way to support the electrify/renewal-everything policies that need to happen.
@CleanPowerSF If you're a PG&E customer, you can sign up for energy that is 100% renewable, via it or @CleanPowerSF. (I chose the latter, but am open to arguments why that was the wrong choice). $5 more a month. So if you can't afford solar panels you still support the switch. 
@CleanPowerSF Anyway, if you are dreadfully worried about climate change (and you'd be a fool not to) and you don't avail yourself of programs that help push/force the utilities to build out renewable capacity...don't do that. For $60 a year, you can be a part of the solution.
