Surely the key thing now is if EU will accept a two-option extension (short if deal, long if not).
If it does, May can propose it, come back next week and put forward meaningful vote to Commons again, on basis that extension is substantial change. Then she threatens Brexiters with fact that a rejection would trigger a long extension.
If it does not then May has lost her short technical extension on the basis of the deal being passed and long extension is the only option available.
But either way, the focal point for the next week is no longer Westminster: it's the European Council.
