As much as I support @IlhanMN against racist, Islamophobic smear campaign, and applaud her courage on raising taboo issues, I affirm that neither she nor anyone else has mandate to concede Palestinian refugees’ right of return under guise of segregationist “two-state solution.”
Dismaying that @IlhanMN adopts segregationist logic of separate "sanctuaries" for Palestinians and Israelis, same logic used to justify South African apartheid. But supporting the racist "two-state solution" is price of being a Serious Person in DC. washingtonpost.com/opinions/ilhan… 
I urge @IlhanMN not to participate in media and power discourse in which everyone is entitled to dictate to Palestinians what their "solution" is -- except for Palestinians who are systematically silenced. No one can concede Palestinian rights to a racist, segregationist state
Let's be clear: the sole purpose of the so-called "two-state solution" is to perpetuate Israeli apartheid by keeping ethnically cleansed Palestinian refugees from returning to their homeland and birthright solely and exclusively for being the wrong religion. It's pure racism.
.@IlhanMN went to Washington to shake up the status quo, not to parrot it. So why is she trying to prove her bona fides by adopting the discredited "two-state solution," which is a fancy way of saying racial segregation and apartheid?
Again, with all my solidarity with @IlhanMN, I ask her this: after she was falsely accused of anti-Semitism, she made a big show of consulting with pro-Israel and Jewish groups. Would like to see her talking prominently and openly to Palestinians as well, not speaking *for* them.
