Ok I got the mason bees the right kind of house, and the right kind of tubes (no bamboo), but now I have to get the larva and the mud? Helping pollinators is complicated (but worth it).
Ok, going to have to wait to execute that project but I am about to hang some birdhouses and cross my fingers. (also how the dozens of birds at the feeders will sort out which of them uses these houses idk).
I would just like you guys to know that i have been saving dryer lint to offer up to the birds for their nests because I have become my mother.
Who has a knowledgeable opinion about which direction a birdhouse opening should face (in SF climate) and also how far away from a very active feeder
And... I guess drier lint is bad for birds so I’ll have to start brushing the dog more
