THREAD: Attorney General Barr’s woefully insufficient summary doesn’t include A SINGLE full sentence from Robert Mueller’s report.

But one of the half-sentences he cited makes it clear: The Mueller report “DOES NOT EXONERATE” Trump.
Barr’s summary of Mueller’s findings leaves behind far more questions than answers.

Here are some of the biggest ones, via the @Moscow_Project:

@moscow_project 1. Don Jr., Kushner, and Manafort took the infamous June 9 Trump Tower meeting with Russians who had promised them dirt on Hillary Clinton.

What did they discuss? And why does Barr suggest that the campaign rebuffed outreach from Russia?

@moscow_project 2. Trump pursued a Trump Tower Moscow deal until at least June of 2016. He actively sought a BUSINESS DEAL w/ a hostile foreign gov't while campaigning.

Have Trump’s financial entanglements w/ Russia compromised him during the campaign or as president?

nytimes.com/2018/11/29/nyr…
@moscow_project 3. Paul Manafort shared polling data with a Russian agent, Konstantin Kilimnik, in hopes Kilimnik would forward it to two oligarchs friendly with the Kremlin.

What did Kilimnik do with it? Did Manafort’s refusal to cooperate prevent Mueller finding out?

nytimes.com/2019/01/08/us/…
@moscow_project 4. Michael Flynn lied to the FBI, and he’s going to jail for it. He interviewed with Mueller’s team for more than 62 hours.

What did they learn?

@moscow_project 5. Who was the “senior campaign official” who directed Roger Stone to reach out to WikiLeaks in July 2016? Who told the campaign official to do so?

justice.gov/file/1124706/d…
@moscow_project 6. Jared Kushner attempted to create a secret backchannel—intentionally hidden from U.S. intelligence agencies—to communicate with the Russian government during the transition.

Why?

nytimes.com/2017/05/26/us/…
@moscow_project 7. How broad was the investigation's scope?

Did Mueller look at Trump's finances/connections w/Russia prior to 2016?

Did he focus solely on criminal wrongdoing during and after the campaign?

Did he examine Trump’s foreign policy actions as president?

themoscowproject.org/dispatch/barrs…
@moscow_project 8. Did Mueller's team investigate Trump's closed-door meetings with Putin—the contents of which Trump guards with an iron fist, even going so far as to confiscate the interpreter's notes?

rollingstone.com/politics/polit…
@moscow_project REMEMBER: Trump’s associates made contact with Russia-linked operatives more than 100 times.

The question is not whether Trump’s campaign did anything wrong—they did, and many of them will be going to jail because they lied about it.

themoscowproject.org/dispatch/inter…
@moscow_project Barr auditioned for his job last year by calling the Mueller probe “fatally misconceived” and “grossly irresponsible.”

Barr made clear he would absolve Trump of obstruction of justice before he saw Mueller’s report—that’s why Trump picked him for AG.

cnn.com/2019/03/24/pol…
@moscow_project BOTTOM LINE: The public has yet to hear from Robert Mueller, and Trump is NOT exonerated.

Barr's summary is NOT the Mueller report—it's a summary from two Trump appointees without Mueller's input.

Mueller's FULL findings MUST be made public. #ReleaseTheFullMuellerReport
