2/2 Protecting uncharged people is a weak rationale in a case with so much publicity their identities are known, given the likely impossibility Congress can understand Trump’s conduct without insight into those around him.
The AG also clarified a question I asked on air yesterday-whether the 300+ pages was the report with or without attachments. We now know Mueller wrote a nearly 400 page analysis of his investigation! There are additional exhibits/appendices.
Also, I apologize if I called Barr’s letter a “summary” instead of a “summary of its [the Mueller Report’s] ‘principle conclusions.’”
Finally, the AG’s offer to testify is the right thing to do. In an administration where we don’t see that happening regularly that’s important & he deserves credit for it. Hold your rotten tomatoes-it was the right thing for him to do.
