Nipsey dying was a tragedy. All Black death is sad. But using this death to push this Dr. Sebi curing HIV conspiracy is just wrong. Just because Nip died doesn’t mean he was right about everything. He was wrong about Sebi. Sebi did not cure HIV.
Pushing the notion that diet can cure HIV is dangerous. It is especially dangerous within the black community where we are experiencing an epidemic. Doubly so when we have actual real medications that make people undetectable. Deterring people from that is deadly.
Right now if you have HIV you can become undetectable through medications and thus cannot transfer the disease. If you are at risk you can also prevent contracting the disease with a pill. That’s huge.
I don’t even really want to get into the conspiracy but if Sebi’s cures were so secret you wouldn’t be able to buy his DVDs or products online since forever.
If someone out there wanted to prevent a documentary that will not make Sebi look good because the facts just aren’t good for him, why would they kill a pillar of the community and bring even more attention to it?
Sebi had some shitty theories and a lack of understanding of some basic nutritional values but he did push people towards healthier diets which makes them more healthy. That is great. It is not a cure for HIV and cancer though.
If you really want to fix healthcare and stick it to big pharma then support people fighting for single payer healthcare. That will do way more good than these conman “doctors” ever will.
Y’all are so quick to watch a YouTube conspiracy documentary but not to pick up a book and learn about the legal system to know that no court of law found that Sebi cured people. That’s not how it works.
If you have HIV please don’t buy these products as an answer or think that smoothies will cure you. Go to the doctor and take your pills. If you are at high risk then talk to your doctor about PrEP.
Oh and stop with all this Hotep ass nonsense. Homophobia and misogyny don’t make you woke. Helping your community in the ways Nipsey did do though. Go do that.
FYI some people don’t know this but what I do for a day job is work in communications for a non profit that helps people living with HIV. Because of that background the whole Dr. Sebi shit really irritates me.
Oh I should add that I don’t doubt that the government would prefer Nipsey be dead or that they are capable and willing to do such things. I doubt it was due to Sebi though or any HIV cure.
It’s just disrespectful AF to all of our community members living with HIV to push this cure nonesense as if they don’t know what’s good for them.
