People really blocking me for saying Dr. Sebi didn’t cure HIV. Shit is crazy. Someone I didn’t know but bailed out of jail because they were black blocked me. My literal day job is to advocate for those living with HIV but I’m the bad guy?
Guess what, your YouTube videos haven’t helped anyone with HIV but ART and PREP have. Your conspiracy theories weren’t sleeping outside the jail to get our community out, that was me.
People are calling me whitewashed, a race traitor, brainwashed, ignorant and all sorts of things just because of this? Man that shit is so sad.

First, I want to think @AmandaFritzRN for her commitment to public service and her long-standing commitment to getting big money out of politics. She was standing in support of open and accountable elections before it was fashionable. wweek.com/news/city/2019…
History will look fondly upon that work. Also, I have to mention that she is just a kind soul and a great person to work with. She was in it for all the right reasons. I hope that whatever is next is fulfilling and brings further happiness.
Next, the list of people mentioned in stepping in to fill her seat is amazing and I am so excited to see what our community will do. Our council got a hell of a lot better this year and in 2020 we also have the opportunity to unseat our morally defunct mayor.

Nipsey dying was a tragedy. All Black death is sad. But using this death to push this Dr. Sebi curing HIV conspiracy is just wrong. Just because Nip died doesn’t mean he was right about everything. He was wrong about Sebi. Sebi did not cure HIV.
Pushing the notion that diet can cure HIV is dangerous. It is especially dangerous within the black community where we are experiencing an epidemic. Doubly so when we have actual real medications that make people undetectable. Deterring people from that is deadly.
Right now if you have HIV you can become undetectable through medications and thus cannot transfer the disease. If you are at risk you can also prevent contracting the disease with a pill. That’s huge.

I’m going to the @trailblazers game today in Atlanta! I got my blazer gear on and my @Dame_Lillard shoes I’ve been wearing proudly all day. Will be my 10 month old sons first game and I can’t tell you how excited I am! Here’s a pic from before my first game around 20 years ago.
I’ve been so excited for this game since @KatNStevens gave me the tickets for my birthday 9 days ago. It’s finally here I can’t believe it! Whole family is in blazer gear including the baby.
Funny his first NBA experience will be as an opposing fan but it is what it is.

I appreciate the sentiment about Nick Cannon trying to finish Nipsey's documentary on Dr. Sebi, and I really truly hope the movie exposes Dr. Sebi as a dangerous person, who is not actually a doctor.
Dr. Sebi went to New York in the 1980s, and tried to tell gay men infected with HIV/AIDS that he could cure them with herbs.

Plot twist. He didn't cure them. They died, taking ineffective herbal treatments. Because he's not a doctor. He's an asshole.
Dr. Sebi also promoted people eating an alkaline diet, which is meant to treat... ?*cricket sounds*.

Notable doctors (who aren't actually doctors, but call themselves doctors) who promoted the alkaline diet are now eating what is commonly known as a "prison diet".

back to morven farm for day two of the city council planning retreat. this event is “open to the public,” but is 20 minutes outside of town, GPS to the address takes you to the wrong gate, the number on their site is dead, & you have to give your name to a gatekeeper. “open” huh?
civic engagement starter pack: notebook, pen, external battery, snacks. not pictured: steely resolve to make it through the whole damn day.
the false entrance is blocked off with cones this morning and the gatekeeper only asked if i was “a citizen,” not for my name. i can’t help but feel like these changes are a response to my furious call to city hall yesterday.

1. "#Happiness" can scare #anxiety patients. In our heads, things are always going wrong. Fear of a "happy" moment undone is doubly painful.
