If you put those together we're about 10 MPs away from customs union, single market and second referendum. In other words, 10 MPs away from revoking Article 50.
We are on the cusp of victory. All we need is a dozen more Tories to come round. And the next few days should finally produce a remain parliament.

No, seriously. Theresa May's letter is completely unhinged from reality.

Let's see . . .
First, it's the request for a short extension which Europe has already told her is no longer available.

Second, the deranged inability to understand that her withdrawal agreement has been banned from coming back to parliament
And third, the bit that makes you feel sort of embarrassed for her more than anything, the way she still keeps clinging to her little phrases like a comfort blanket. "The national interest"

It would have died yesterday if Lord Twatters hadn't taken the piss.
The new schedule.

Monday - Cooper/Letwin finishes in the Lords and becomes law, mandating Theresa may to ask for a long extension, which will turn out to be a year at least.

Brexit will die right there.
I doubt there will be a formal announcement because English politicians think that if they don't mention it, we will never notice it.

nevertheless, Brexit will die on Monday

I think Jeremy Corbyn and Theresa May have become politically irrelevant, the pair of them.
Whatever they agree between them, it's too late. Parliament is now legislating by itself now.
A long extension is necessary now whatever happens. Even if May and Corbyn did manage to accept the withdrawal agreement, they still can't bring it back to yet another vote in this parliament.
And the Letwin-Cooper Bill is still going to legislate a long extension.
I wouldn't even be that surprised if Corbyn and May did agree to accept the withdrawal agreement.
I don't think they will, but even if they did, I think they would find they had left it too late, and events had left them behind.

It’s important to appreciate that to benefit from freedom of movement is vital for Scotland’s economic & demographic needs & to benefit from it you have to be a member of the single market.

Tldr: the tiller of SS Britannia seems stuck fast, and the No Deal rapids lie dead ahead....is there anything that will blow the ship to the safety of the shore? /1
There are lots of murmurs round Westminster that MPs now want to back the deal - this kind of stuff noted in @Jack_Blanchard_ playbook. /2
@Jack_Blanchard_ But dig a little deeper, and ask people in Commons/Lords if acceptance of a deal requires Cox/May to win changes to the backstop - a time-limit, an exit mechanism - they say 'oh yes, of course'... /3

1/ Another customs thread. This time on #customs formalities and #Backstop . Backstop envisages a #customsunion with simplifications. It mentions that a movement certificate, A.UK, will be required. No mention of customs declarations.
2/ Movement certificate demonstrates that goods are eligible for trade under a customs union. Is certified by e.g. a Chamber of Commerce. Declarations do more than that. They are entered into the national customs system and enable customs authorities to collect customs data.
3/ Much more info on a declaration than on a movement cert. Some of the most important fields include commodity code, value of goods, country of origin and customs procedure. Would imagine the UK would still like to collect this data for various reasons even under backstop.
