Definitely a positive development that #Bitcoin is now above its 200D mov. avg.
--Many consider P>200D as sign of $BTC in positive trend
--BTC acts significantly better P>200D, a win-ratio of 80% vs 36% when P<200D

2/ Reminder that BTC generally generates all of its performance within 10D of any year.
--ex the top 10 days, BTC is down 25% annually since 2013
3/ For equities, ex-top 10 days, the S&P 500 only cedes 300bp per annum.
--the obvious conclusion is top 10 days way more influential for BTC than equities
--HODL the other 355 days?

My indicator is based on identifying trends

Check this out:

Red X signal was given Feb 2014. We then got bull div for the first time end of March 2014

Red X signal was given March 2018(4 yrs later) and we now have bull div for the first time end of March 2019
What a coincidence, right?

Let's take a step back and see how the end of the bull market looked for each.

Notice anything about these dates almost exactly 4 years apart?

They mark the last push after parabola break right before the bear market went into full force.
These bear cycles started roughly the same day. 4 years apart.

Okay so let's jump ahead a few months.

Notice anything?

Both made approx 60% corrections at the 100 day mark.

#Bitcoin isn't just mathematically secure, it's thermodynamically secure.

Bitcoin's cryptography is based off of computational hardness assumptions and the complexity of brute force attacks.

We can compute the minimum energy / time needed to attack Bitcoin.

1/
For eg, to break preimage resistance of sha256, we must compute 2^256 hashes.

BTC has 50M TH/s hashpower. It would take
2^256 / (50 * 10^6 * 10^12) s
= 2^256 / (5 * 10^18) s
> 2^256 / (2^3 * 2^60) s
= 2^256 / 2^63 a
= 2^193 seconds
> 10^40 * age of universe
To break it.

2/
Antminer S9 does 13TH/s at 1300W. That's 10^9 hashes / Joule.

The sun emits ~4 * 10^26 W in energy. That's enough to power 4 * 10^35 hashes / s.

2^256 / ( 4 * 10^35) s
> 2^256 / 2^122 s
= 2^134 s
= 10^22 * age of universe

The sun can't even break sha256.

1/ Instead of focusing on the act of "spending", we need people want to "earn BTC", to "be paid in BTC". We need more hodlers.

The economic and technical consequences of stressing one viewpoint (to spend) over the other (to earn) are profound and irreconcilable.
2/ Money's essence is being used as a medium of exchange (MoE). But for something to become money, or a universally accepted MoE, it must first follow evolutionary stages. First, comes store of value (SoV), second, MoE, and third, unit of account (UoA).
