The post-truthiness of this presidency is remarkable. The same conservatives who rail against "moral relativism," "fake news," & "biased historians" just adore this person who has an absolutely pathological relationship to the truth, even the truth of his own father's birthplace.
People in the public eye will frequently misspeak, or get some detail slightly wrong. That's not the issue here. This is just a blatant, easily falsifiable lie about HIS OWN FATHER. Perhaps this has to do with mental decline or illness. Who knows, but it's a serious problem.
Seriously, if you employed a tax preparer who attended your church with their two kids but who looked you in the eye and said they had no children, it would be so weird that you'd walk out and find another tax preparer. Trump has access to nuclear f-ing weapons.
