In news that will surprise no-one it sounds like the talks with Labour have completely broken down.
Labour spokesperson: "We are disappointed that the govt has not offered real change or compromise. We urge the PM to come forward with genuine changes to her deal in an effort to find an alternative that can win support in parliament and bring the country together."
I would have been shocked if May offered a meaningful compromise in those talks. And even more shocked if Labour accepted it even if she had.
In a parallel universe, where May and Corbyn were prepared to put nation above party, a deal would be perfectly attainable. There really isn't that much difference between their positions. But that is not the universe we live in.
So. Fun week. Indicative votes which went nowhere. A billion hours of debate over a bill to extend Article 50 which the PM was doing anyway. And days lost to cross-party debates which never had any chance of succeeding.
