1/ A quick thread on my account suspension last night. First and foremost - I've never had any problem or issue with Twitter. Nothing strange. No random unfollows. All hack attempts blocked and notified, etc. $TSLAQ
2/ I was in the middle of posting the same photoshopped picture several times with different captions (the 'nuke' pic). Suddenly, in the middle of a tweet, poof. My account was suspended without explanation. $TSLAQ
3/ For an extra layer of security, the phone associated with my account is that of a friend. That person was asleep at the time of my account suspension, so I couldn't appeal it or even understand what was going on. That is a good thing. Two factor authentication works. $TSLAQ
4/ By the time I could verify my account this morning, Twitter had decided that whatever caused my suspension was not an issue, and I was immediately reinstated upon verification. No explanation, just reinstatement. $TSLAQ
5/ I believe one of two things happened. Either my repeated posting of the same picture triggered a spamming algorithm, or the "Let's use this one on Doug Field" tweet was misconstrued by the algorithm as a threat (it clearly wasn't). $TSLAQ
6/ Either way, I do recognize that this platform belongs to Twitter and I have no particular right to be here. I assume/hope the same level of scrutiny and/or protection is applied to both sides of this debate. I for one will be glad when it is over. $TSLAQ
