It's bizarre to hear the apocalyptic language being levelled against the fulfilment of Brexit. If we don't leave the EU, it will allegedly be terrible, a disaster, a travesty, incredibly dangerous, etc etc.

But if we choose to stay, Saturday will be the same as Friday.

Companies will begin to unwind stockpiles. Business investment will restart. Assets will stop being transferred out of the UK. Certainly and clarity will return for the first time in three years. And MPs will be freed to concentrate on the important stuff they've been neglecting.

What's the danger in that? Where's the disaster in things returning to normal?

Well, it's entirely on the political front. Voters may punish the Tories at the ballot box. But so what? It's been a long time since the best interests of the UK aligned with those of the Tory Party.

So we can either do the politically expedious thing, or we can do the right thing. Only one course of action risks wrecking our economy, trashing the future prospects of our young people, and diminishing our standing on the world stage.
