"Ten years ago, the tax agency formed a special team to unravel the complex tax-lowering strategies of the nation’s wealthiest people. But with big money — and Congress — arrayed against the team, it never had a chance"

How is this not an election topic?

I don't care what any of the candidates like to eat, I wanna know what they plan to do about the IRS (under both parties) auditing poor people at higher rates than the rich then giving white collar criminals a pass.

I don't care about candidates' playlists, I'd rather know if they'll stop Wall Street from investing teachers' pensions into private prison companies against their wishes.

(Candidates who had to ask Wall Street for permission to run can skip this Q. 🙃)

It doesn't matter to me if candidates are likeable in interviews, what matters is whether or not they'll put people's lives before health care company profits. Anyone pretending that a little tinkering around the edges will fix the problem has most likely picked the latter.
If politicians had done their job and held white collar criminals accountable, Trump would've never made it to the White House. That's why he's just a symptom. If you want to treat the illness, you gotta go after the system that empowers men like him in the first place.
As far as healthcare goes, It's weird how it's never the Dems who are openly knee-deep in lobby money who need to be "reigned in," it's always the ones who are trying to save more lives who are told to take a seat and "learn the game"

This has to change.

I know that the issues that matter to me might not be what matters to you, but I do encourage you to find out whatever that is, learn as much as you can about it, and KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS. The devil is in the details, so it's better to act like a concerned citizen than a fan.
