I am taking a day off in near future and will uncharacteristically have writing bandwidth. ("That's a weird day off." Literally my hobby, and don't worry, Factory Town still going to happen.)

Anything in particular you'd like to hear about?
Factory Town, by the way, is my favorite factory optimization game, a very niche genre that is probably underplayed by people who follow me. It is a great entry point into this genre.

Don't play it if optimizing conveyor belts sounds like work; do play it if you diagram for fun.
Another great game in the genre is Big Pharma, which has similar aesthetic but very different early-game gameplay and very different late-game gameplay. Also, Big Pharma cares *a lot* more about its point-of-view on healthcare than Factory Town does on maximizing efficiency.

Spoiler alert: it does, and it's brilliantly communicated by game mechanics (at the highest levels of play) rather than by flavor text.

Inspired by Game of Thrones:

It was an accident of our delivery mechanisms that we once had numbered releases and made A Big Deal when the new release dropped, and we went to continuous delivery for great reasons when that was available.

But maybe the Big Deal helped anyhow?
Like, television schedules look like television schedules because of the production constraints of the medium and the monetization engine behind it. The show already exists but it will be unspooled for maximizing the GTM impact of it.
I wonder if we can bring back episodic marketing to software? Something that someone would willingly write a blog post speculating about what's coming up in the next episode or parsing tea leaves from the official trailers?

Oh, to be a fly on the wall of the folks at crypto exchanges trying to conduct market stabilization warrooms right now.
"We could make a lot of money."
"You can make a lot of money by burning down a casino for the insurance IF YOU ARE STUPID."
I think this is why, when every sophisticated person in space became aware that tether was doomed back in late 2018, several firms rushed stablecoins to markets.

They're a terrible product for the issuer, but given that the system was hooked on them, great for the ecosystem.

It's really singular that the Carreyrou of Bitfinex/Tether was an anonymous blogger (@Bitfinexed).

He had the outlines of this story before anyone, got many of the consequential details right, and did some really important archival research on previous actions of conspirators.
@Bitfinexed Kind of frustrating to me that of all the financial journalists in the world nobody said "Oh a multi-billion dollar fraud attached to one of our hottest news stories this year, maybe I should get on that beat consistently."

Did you know that FB has a feature that allows you to show your ads to people who are or may be planning to travel?

This feature is called Trip Consideration.

I have a few businesses in the travel niche I work with, that this feature works very well with.
So, when you use the Trip Consideration feature you are basically getting your ads shown to people who have been showing signs that they could be taking a trip in the near future.

Things like visiting travel sites without actually purchasing anything (FB can see everything 😬).
This does make it much easier especially for people like me in order to find potential customers for the businesses I work with.

Typically I will turn on the Trip Consideration feature and just include the typical demographic of the customer.

1. I had just completed my book. It took me several months to write a manuscript I was satisfied with. Now I faced the hurdle of selling the book

This is how I did it. You can do the same.

As a Brooklyn jury mulls the fate of El Chapo here's what's likely to happen next w/some of the witnesses who testified against him.
Lawyers in the case of Chapo's mistress, Lucero Sanchez, are expected to file a status report today that may indicate when she'll be sentenced.
Prosecutors will eventually file papers w/sentencing recommendations for other witnesses, including the cartel prince, Vicente Zambada Niebla; Vicente's uncle, Rey Zambada; and Chapo's top aide, Damaso Lopez.
But so far, their dockets don't indicate any (visible) schedules.
One major Chapo witness, the Colombian trafficker Alex Cifuentes, may end up testifying in a new cartel trial against Mikhaylo "Russian Mike" Koretzkyy. That case, based in Manhattan, will touch on the Sinaloa cartel's Canadian operations. Alex was instrumental in those.

yoonkook au. yoonji and gguk have been bestfriends since they were little, yoonji is gguk’s only friend with the exception of her older brother yoongi. only issue is jeongguk has had a crush on yoongi since they met. now that he’s 20 he wants to party like an adult with yoongi.
